Our presence in Malawi dates back to 1911. Today we have one community in Lilongwe.
The sisters are involved in the "Tikondane" project --a center for the reintegration of street children. This project was initiated by the Congregation to welcome children found in the streets of Lilongwe or those the police bring to us. We offer care and protection to street children as well as defending their rights. We work in partnership and network at local and international level. We are also involved in pastoral work, health care and education.
A desire: To live fully and be united in community, with the Congregation, on the African continent and in the world.
"The deeply rooted BAOBAB tree regularly gives fruit. It grows year by year. Our Congregation like this tree is rooted in Christ.
By living in communion with one another and building on those who have gone before us, we keep alive the flame of our charism and bear fruit."
